- He looks wrathful and is bedecked with serpents.
- As he is the defender of law, he is given a good position at the entrance doors of Buddhism shrines.
- He may have one face with two ,four arms or six arms or eight faces with sixteen arms.
- He carries Trisula and Kapala in his two hands.
- He wears a tiger skin symbolizing the purification of desires.
- He is the protector of the Buddhism.
- Hence, he is commonly known as defender of law and embodiment of universal compassion.
