Green tara is known as swift liberator and is said to have arisen from the compassionate tears of Avalokiteswara.
She is specially known for her power to overcome the most difficult situation ,giving protection against danger and all kinds of fear.

Her right hand in the boon granting mudra indicating her ability to provide beings with whatever they desire.Her left hand at her heart is in the mudra of bestowing refuse : her thumb and ring finger are pressed together to symbolises the united practice of method and wisdom,and the three remaining fingers are raised to symbolise 3 jewels of refuge – Buddha, dharma, Sangha.
